Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (ToS) govern access to and use of the chefstockee.com website and the Chef Stockee mobile application. By accessing the site or creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and unreservedly accepted these ToS.

1. Purpose

These ToS define the terms and conditions under which {{COMPANY_NAME}} (hereinafter "Chef Stockee") makes available to its users (hereinafter "the User") the chefstockee.com website and the eponymous mobile application.

2. Service description

Chef Stockee is a smart food traceability application that allows the User to:

• Manage their food stock (fridge, freezer, pantry).

• Receive AI-generated recipe suggestions.

• Scan grocery receipts via optical recognition (OCR) to update their stock.

• Manage a shopping list and plan their meals.

The service is currently in pre-launch phase. Features may evolve.

3. Service access

Access to the service requires the creation of a user account. The User must be at least 16 years old to create an account without parental authorization, in accordance with article 8 of the GDPR.

The User undertakes to provide accurate information upon registration and to keep it up to date. They are solely responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials.

4. Subscription plans

Chef Stockee offers three plans: Starter (free), Solo (€4.99/month or €49/year) and Family (€9.99/month or €99/year). Paid plans benefit from a 7-day free trial, without commitment and without credit card required to start.

The detail of included features is available on the Pricing page. Prices are inclusive of all taxes for European users. VAT is applied in accordance with the regulations in force in the User's country of residence.

5. Payment and billing

Paid subscriptions are managed by our payment provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. Payments are charged in advance, monthly or annually depending on the chosen cycle.

The User may cancel their subscription at any time from their personal area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. No pro-rata refund is made, except for legal obligations.

6. User obligations

The User undertakes to:

• Use the service in accordance with its purpose and applicable legislation.

• Not attempt to circumvent the technical limits or protections of the service.

• Not use the service for commercial purposes without prior written authorization.

• Not upload illegal, offensive content, or content infringing third-party rights.

Any breach may result in suspension or termination of the account without notice.

7. Liability

Chef Stockee uses reasonable means to ensure a reliable and secure service, but cannot be held liable for:

• Service interruptions related to maintenance, force majeure or User connection issues.

• The accuracy of recipes generated by artificial intelligence, which must be interpreted as suggestions and not as nutritional or medical advice.

• Indirect damages resulting from use of the service.

Users with allergies are solely responsible for verifying the ingredients of each recipe before preparation.

8. Intellectual property

All elements of the site and application (Chef Stockee brand, logo, Stockee mascot, design, code, editorial content) are the exclusive property of {{COMPANY_NAME}} and protected by copyright.

Recipes generated by the application remain for the User's personal use and may not be commercialized without authorization.

9. Personal data

The processing of the User's personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these ToS.

10. Termination

The User may delete their account at any time from the application. Deletion results in the definitive erasure of personal data, subject to legal retention periods.

Chef Stockee reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of serious breach of these ToS, after notification to the User.

11. Modifications of the ToS

Chef Stockee reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Substantial modifications will be notified to the User by email or via the application at least 15 days before they come into effect.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These ToS are governed by French law. In case of dispute, and after attempting an amicable resolution, the competent courts will be those of the jurisdiction of Chef Stockee's registered office.

In accordance with article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, the User may use the MEDICYS mediation service free of charge for the amicable resolution of a dispute.
